Where dat?

GoPensacola.com's Saints Super Bowl party guide (but Colts fans can use it, too)

GoPensacola.com staff • February 3, 2010

The big game is always a big cause to party. But it takes on bigger proportions when the home team is playing for all the marbles.

OK, the New Orleans Saints isn't quite the home team, but for those of us here in Pensacola, it's the closest thing. We cheer the Saints as if they were playing right here in town, and if you have any doubt of that, ask yourself how many times you've heard the phrase "Who Dat?" this year.

So if you're looking for a place to catch the game with a few — or a few hundred — other rabid fans, and you can't be in Miami or New Orleans (or Indianapolis — we'll concede that there are definitely some Colts fans around town, too), Pensacola is the place to be, and there are tons of parties planned for Sunday. Here's where you can check out the game — and more.

Ultimate Super Bowl Tailgate Party

2 p.m. Sunday. In conjunction with Will Call Sports Grille's Super Bowl Sunday game viewing, The Ready Room will present a huge pre-game tailgate party featuring live music, drink specials, barbecue, a mechanical bull, pool, beer pong and darts. Anyone who purchases anything during this pre-game event will be given a coupon for a free drink from Will Call Sports Grill during the game and be entered to win two tickets to the Mardi Gras Parade Balcony Viewing Party, a $50 value. Emjoy crystal cold Hurricane Shots served through a New Orleans Saints logo ice sculpture. At kickoff time, head upstairs to Will Call to watch the game. The Ready Room, 22 S. Palafox Place.
