Doors open at 4 p.m. Friday, 7:30 a.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. Sunday. Get set for red-hot live music and ice-cold bushwackers at the 25th annual Bushwacker & Music Festival, presented by Capt'n Fun Beach Club.
Entertainment includes a wide variety of national, regional and local acts providing music throughout the weekend, including popular post-hardcore band the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and regional party-band favorites Bag of Donuts and the Molly Ringwalds.
And of course, the reason for the celebration is Pensacola Beach's favorite frozen concoction, the delicious, creamy bushwacker. Capt'n Fun will serve up the sweet grown-up treats for $3.50 all weekend long. The popular souvenir glasses will be back this year, too. Get a full souvenir cup for $8 and enjoy $4.25 bushwackers every time you bring the cup back for the next 365 days (refills during Bushwacker Fest weekend are $3.50). Plus, you'll have a memento of the weekend, just in case you have trouble remembering after socking away a few — with the extra shot of 151 rum, of course.
And on Saturday morning, the annual Capt'n Fun Bushwacker 5K will benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northwest Florida.

Bushwacker 5K Run
7:30 a.m. Saturday. The Capt'n Fun Bushwacker 5K Run is sponsored by the Capt'n Fun Runners to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida. The race follows a 3.1-mile course that begins at the Gulf Breeze Recreation Center at Shoreline Park in Gulf Breeze and finishes on Pensacola Beach at the Visitor Information Center. The course will close to participants and open to traffic after 45 minutes. No pets, skates, rollerblades or baby joggers will be permitted. Free bus transportation from Pensacola Beach to the starting line will run from 6 to 7 a.m. The post-race party will be at Capt'n Fun Beach Club and will include awards, food, refreshments and live music. Registration: $25 today or on race day. Register and pick up packets from 4 to 7:30 p.m. today at Capt'n Fun Beach Club or from 6 to 7 a.m. Saturday ay Bamboo Willie's on the Portofino Boardwalk.
