The Stringdusters are a bluegrass group that was formed in 2007. Their instruments are typical of a bluegrass group and include a banjo, a fiddle, a mandolin, an upright bass, a guitar and a Dobro.
They became popular almost instantly, winning three awards at the International Bluegrass Music Awards. They won Emerging Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for “Fork in the Road” and Song of the Year for the title song of that album. They were also nominated for a 2011 Grammy Award for Best Country Instrumental Song.
A live album from the band, "We'll Do It Live," is due Oct. 11.
