Looking back at DeLuna Fest 2011

Offering three days of sun and sand and more than 80 bands, the 2011 edition of DeLuna Fest packed plenty of memories, even if the grounds weren't always packed.

Some of our favorite highlights included:

• Kim Schifino of dance-punk duo Matt & Kim walking out onto the hands of fans to "shake that butt."
• Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo leaping out into the crowd -- and unfortunately, onto the federally protected sea oats -- leading fans to follow.
• The multi-media dance party thrown by mash-up artist Girl Talk, replete with dancers, confetti, balloons and more.
• Rapper Big Boi bringing dozens of fans on-stage for an impromptu dance party as he tore through OutKast favorites and solo material.
• Perry Ferrell's colorful speech about how he wanted to touch the crowd during Jane's Addiction's Saturday night set.
• Discovering new favorites such as Ra Ra Riot, Sleeper Agent and Blackbells.
• The festival-closing, barnstorming set by Mutemath.
