For three days, music lovers at Hangout Music Fest have been hopping from stage to stage seeing some of their favorite artists, maybe finding new favorites along the way.
But there was more than music to Hangout.
Several rides, games and vendors selling everything from hammocks to jewelry entertained people when they weren't occupied listening to music.
A giant water slide on the beach was a big hit in the Alabama heat.
"It's hot out, so it cools you off," said Sally Hallmark, 28, of Birmingham, Ala. "It was so fun."
The slide was especially popular because there was no charge. Riders just had to register with festival sponsor Chevrolet.
"There is a water slide on the beach, and it's free," said Kyle Bodacious, 27, of Chicago, Ill. "It would be dumb not to ride it."
At the Dos Equis area, friends could challenge each other to see who could stand on a moving log the longest. (Check it out in the video above).
"Basically what it is, we have a log roll set up so people can compete against each other," said Phil Armijo, 30, who worked at the Dos Equis tent for the festival. "It's best two out of three."
