DeLuna Fest launches film series

Lest week, DeLuna Fest organizers announced a free screening of the Foo Fighters documentary "Back & Forth" at Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St., on Wednesday.

Today, the DeLuna Fest Movie Nights series has been expanded to four features starring artists scheduled to appear at the Sept. 21-23 music festival on Pensacola Beach, each being featured at a different area venue.

In addition to Wednesday's screening of "Back & Forth," fans will be treated to a free showing of director Cameron Crowe's acclaimed documentray "Pearl Jam Twenty" on July 27 at the Fish House Deck Bar; "The Harder They Come," the seminal reggae film starring DeLuna Fest artist Jimmy Cliff on Aug. 7 at Flounder's Chowder House, 800 Quietwater Beach Road, Pensacola Beach; and on Aug. 21 at Vinyl Music Hall, 2 Palafox Place, an evening featuring a variety of clips starring DeLuna Fest artists, including Florence + the Machine, Ben Folds Five, The Gaslight Anthem and Band of Horses.

All Movie Nights will feature Budwiser specials, raffles for VIP festival upgrades and a variety of giveaways. Participants must be present to win.

Age restrictions may apply at individual venues.

DeLuna Fest 2012 will feature Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Zac Brown Band, Florence + the Machine and more than 60 other bands on the shores of Casino Beach. Tickets are available at www.delunafest.com.
