Summertime, it’s a magical surprising time of year. Temperatures that can rise and drop at a moment’s notice with a crazy storm that comes out of nowhere. One second, you are enjoying a beautiful, sunny day, and the next, you are in the middle of a monsoon!

When I think of surprising, magical summertime things, I think of sailing. And then, I think of pirates! Pirates can be surprising and magical, especially when they have been slamming back the rum.

And what better way to tap into your pirate side than to slam back a Magic Hook Bomb? This yummy bomb, which combines Magic Hat #9 and Sailor Jerry 90-proof spiced rum, is sure to get you in the pirate spirit.

Magic Hook Bomb

8 ounces Magic Hat #9
1.25 ounces Sailor Jerry spiced rum

Pour the Magic Hat into a pint glass. This should fill the glass half way. Then, pour the Sailor Jerry into a shot glass. Drop your shot into the Magic Hat and chug.
