DeLuna Fest 2012's third and final day is in full swing — and so is a full-on dragonfly invasion.

During The Wallflowers' set late this afternoon, the band was upstaged early when hundreds of the shiny-winged creatures fluttered over the crowd, landing on charmed fans' raised fingertips.

"What are these, dragonflies?" singer Jakob Dylan asked between songs. "Are they dangerous?"

Fans quickly got back into the rhythm of things as The Wallflowers launched into "6th Avenue Heartache."

Crowds began picking up steam as the day wore on, though early attendance was sparse today.

DeLuna Fest first-timer Michael Bell, 36, of Fort Walton Beach, said that the highlight of his weekend so far is Bad Brains.

"I'm really into punk rock," Bell said. "My wife really liked Foo Fighters. They did put on a good show."

Although Bell said the festival has been good overall, he said that the trolley system needs some work.

"It's pretty cool, and it's laid-back," he said. "The trolleys suck, but everything else is set up nice. There's no bad seats for any of the shows."

Festival organizers on Saturday issued a statement about changes meant to smooth out the wrinkles in the trolley runs.

For 39-year-old Ashley Muldoon of Gulf Breeze, there have been many highlights to her weekend on the beach.

"Being able to enjoy such awesome music on a beautiful day, the sand between your toes - it's just amazing," Muldoon said.

She said that Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters are among her favorite acts so far, and she's looking forward to Florence and the Machine and Zac Brown Band tonight.

"I went (to DeLuna Fest) two years ago, but only for one night," she said. "So for me to be able to be on the beach and listen to all of this music during the day is a totally different experience. I love this."
