Andy Marlette/GoPensacola.com

With all due respect to the Christmas season, at GoPensacola.com, it’s the end of October that qualifies as “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”

With the possible exception of New Year’s Eve, you’re hard pressed to find a bigger party week for grown-ups than the week of Halloween. All throughout the Pensacola area, bars, nightclubs and other grown-up playgrounds are decked out in their frightening finest, set to entertain all manner of ghouls, goblins, sexy nurses, faux-presidential candidates ... and this year, we’re gonna go ahead and guess “Walking Dead” zombies, Carly Rae Jepsens, Psys (complete with “Gangnam Style” dancers) and more than a few “binders full of women.” (Check out galleries to see how our predictions pan out.)

So where should you parade your costumed finery this year? Check out our party guide for as many of the area highlights as we could round up. Visit GoPensacola.com for updates as they come in, and check the site throughout the week, as our photographers will be lurking in every haunt they can get to, bringing you all the macabre mayhem.
