Live Niteclub and Music Venue is live no more.
The north Pensacola venue at the intersection of U.S. 29 and Nine Mile Road announced its closure on Facebook late Sunday night after bartenders had been discussing the closure on social media, even posting pictures of themselves helping to tear down fixtures and packing up belongings.
GoPensacola.com broke the news on its Facebook page late Sunday night.
An immediate cause for the closure was not revealed, however, a bartender at Live posted to GoPensacola.com’s Facebook page that “that building just isn’t cost effective anymore. We’re working on something new, though.”
Live’s last major event was a SnowGlow dance party presented by Ampersand Events’ NeonGlow on Friday. Pictures, which can be seen on GoPensacola.com, show a packed house.
