RSS: A really simple way to bring the our news to you

Simply put, RSS is a way to deliver links to GoPensacola headlines and photo galleries as soon as those stories appear on GoPensacola.com. You don't have to come to us, we come to you. And when we say "deliver," we mean delivering those links wherever you want them, whether it be on your computer desktop, your blog or on another website.

RSS - How to get it
There are several ways to access RSS feeds. You can install a news reader that displays RSS feeds from the Web sites you select. Like an email program or a Web browser, the news reader serves as an information portal, and provides a real-time interface to the feeds you select. Once the RSS reader is set up to access your chosen feeds, it will continually poll the RSS feeds for the latest headlines. Links to several popular news readers -- both free and commercial -- are listed at the bottom of the page.

Links to the feeds
The news reader you choose will have instructions on how to subscribe to an RSS feed using the links. But basically you can do it in one of two ways:

1. Click on the desired link below. Follow the instructions on the resulting page to subscribe to the feed using your selected news reader.

2. Right-click on the link and select "Copy Link Location" (or "Copy Target," "Copy Shortcut," etc.). Paste the URL into the subscribe field of your news reader.

"The Expendables"
It has every action star ever -- who cares if the critics hate it? (That said, we heartily recommend "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.")
